Islamic Eritrean Party for Justice and Developmentalt

Concluding Statementof Shura Council Meeting

Praise be to Allah by Whose grace good deeds are completed, peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah (SAW), his family and his companionsand those who follow them till theDay of Judgment.

The Almighty Says: "And the Unbelievers said to their messengers: "Be sure we shall drive you out of our land, or ye shall return to our belief." But their Lord inspired (this Message) to them: "Verily We shall cause the wrongdoers to perish! "And verily, We shall cause you to abide in the land, and succeed them. This for such as fear the time when they shall stand before My tribunal - such as fear the punishment denounced." But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor".

Surah 'Ibrahim Verses 12-15

Our struggling people:

The Shura Council of the Eritrean Islamic Party for Justice and Development (EIPJD) held its fourth regular meeting from 28 to 29 of Jumada II 1439 AH corresponding to 16-17 of March 2018. At the beginning of the meeting, the Council's membersoffered prayers for the souls of the EIPJD's leaders who departedlast year:ShaikhArafah Ahmed Muhammad, the former Amir of Jihad Movement and the Military leaderSalehSiraj, (May Allah accept them as martyrsand grant them the highest level of paradise).

In its meeting, the Council extensivelydiscussed the annual periodic performance reports of the General Secretariat, the Internal Control Committees, the General Auditor, and the Party's annual plan for 2018, in addition to other issues. Members commended the achievements made in 2017 Annual Plan at certain internal and external levels, as well asreviewingthe shortcomings and limitations in specific internal and external areas and reasons behind. Accordingly, directives and decisions were passed tothe General Secretariat to overcome the previous shortcomings that accompanied the performance.

The Council also evaluated the current various situations, at the levelof EIPJDand the Eritrean opposition, and the National Council in particular, reviewing all the efforts and endeavors made to break the deadlock and overcome the obstacles that have beset the Council's march during the previous period. In this regard, the Council commended the positive, consensual agreement reached by the 18 parties recently in Addis Ababa with regard to the serious and prompt move to hold the second conference of the Council, meanwhile warning from sliding again in the quagmire of (disorientation) suffered by the Eritrean opposition as represented in the Eritrean National Council during the past two years, a fact that will not be tolerated or accepted anymoreunder any justification whatsoever.

The Council carefully evaluated all the sufferings of the people inside Eritreaand abroad as a result of the aggressive policies practiced by the bloody regime in all aspects of life, particularly the current starvation of the people and the regime is primereasonof the sanctions imposed on Eritrea by the Security Council and the neighboring countries.

Our loyal nation:

The meetinghailed all forms of struggle and resistance of the free and honorable Eritrean nation in and outside the country, particularly those who bravely stood with the heroic and blessed popular uprising, led by the courageous national symbol Martyr Musa Muhammad Noor, may Allah have mercy on him, which reflected a chilling echo among all Eritreans worldwide. The Council also appeals to all the Eritrean people, who yearn for freedom, justice and dignity to renew their will and determination tojoin the battle for change which is aspired by all Eritreansbut is unattainable without the efforts and struggles of all Eritreans, everywhere.

Our valiant people:

After reviewing the current regional and international conditions and policies and their various implications on the Eritrean situation overall, the Council called uponsupporters of justice, democracy and freedomall over the world to unite with the Eritrean people and stand by their side to combat the oppression, repression and starvation committed by the brutaland bloody regime of IsaiasAfwerkiand its practices of state terrorism, the recent of such oppressive practices include arresting childrenfor compulsory military recruitmentunder the pretext of participation in the funeral of the national symbol Shaikh Musa Muhammad Nooras documented by Ms. Sheila B. Keetharuth, the first Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Eritrea. We request all international organizationsto impose all serious pressures on theregime to uphold the legitimate rights. Meanwhile, we do remind the regional countries which support Afwerki'sregime that they are only contributing to extend the suffering of our people and to be wary that the Eritrean nation will never forget their adverse stance.
